We were gone a long time yesterday with my trip to the Rhuematologist. I had gained a pound. He took down all my updated info, and said yes my cortisol was very low, and sent me to the hospital for a bunch of blood work. I think 11 vials of blood. He said I am not going to do very well losing weight until I find out what is causing my extreme fatigue. Most with autoimmune disorders have fatigue, but mine without taking Provigal puts me in the bed for periods of time, I usually take one each day, and then anything I am going to do I do it then, because I have about 30minutes to about an hour of being able to be at my sewing machine to sew. Other hand sewing I do is usually at night sitting in my chair. I will be going to my new Endocrinologist soon too, and I am thinking I have adrenal issues, and he said I have nodules on both sides of my thyroid glands. They are going to increase my prednisone. Due to this I am not going to be on the board to be on the contender for weight loss, but want to still check in all the time. I will also let you know how I am doing. I now feel like I shouldn't have even won that one month of fabric since everything for me has went down hill since then. I hope all of you do well. You are all in my prayers, and if you can keep me in yours. I will let you know how I am doing. If I do get help I need from the doctors I will be on for actual weight loss, but I won't run for any fabric after this, but enjoy seeing all who do win some beautiful fabric. :)

Susan, you EARNED that win and that fabric. Keeping you in my prayers as it sounds like you are in quite a storm. Please keep us updated on how you are progressing.

( Taking 11 vials of blood probably induces fatigue on it's own.)

JuneBillie, you are certainly in my prayers. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way.

As for me, I didn't lose an ounce in June :( Hoping to do better this month.

Leann and Mary Christine, thank you both for your prayers, and kind words. Some of you girls on this board have been through quite a bit yourselves.

Susan you worked hard to earn that fabric and you maore than deserve it. Hopefully doctors can figure out what is going on quickly so you can get back to normal activities. I am praying for wisdom for the doctors. At least stay on the thread and visit with us.
I will be late posting the winner for June since I am on vacation in Hilton Head. It has been wonderful. I have eaten way too many goodies, but have done a lot of biking and walking so hopefully I haven't gained. I will be home late on Saturday and see how much damage I have done. My SIL talks about how healthy she eats and eats all kids of junk all day long. I sometimes follow her bad eating. She said she needed a high protien snack yesterday. Did you know that 2 Reece Cups is a nutritious high protien snack? I wish it was true, but I of course had one later. Don't forget to sign up over on the July thread and good luck to everyone.

JuneBillie, good luck with everything and please keep us posted. My sister was sick for 1 1/2 yrs. She saw just about every kind of specialist and had every test imaginable, at least once and sometimes twice. They finally started treating her for Lyme's disease but said they couldn't be quite sure. She's had terrible symptoms, including fatigue. It's hard to keep managing your life when you feel like that. :( She seems to feel a bit better, so hopefully they've solved the mystery.

Pat, thanks for sharing your SILs healthy tricks. :p Glad you're able to continue moving and exercising, though.

Leann, you're doing great. Keep it up!!!

I forgot to post the winner. I am all mixed up just getting back from vacation. The winner for June is Coffeegirl, with a loss of 4.7 pounds. COngratulations, great job. I only heard from a few people on their loss. Hopefully we will do better in July.
AnnaQuilts lost 14.6 pounds but can't win 2 months in a row. Awesome job.

I've been doing better with healthier choices and cooking. My new favorite vege: snip just the ends off of green beans - leaving them long (I usually break them into 1" pieces). Pan fry in garlic and olive oil. Add some diced Canadian bacon (or skip this). Keep tossing/stirring them until they're cooked just right, not hard, not mushy.

I'll have to skip the Zumba class this week but will try to get back to the gym.

Me? you're kidding! It hardly seems fair when Anna lost over 14! I did also have to give up a month's win because I couldn't win 2 months in a row, so I guess it all comes around in good time. thank you so much!

It is encouraging to me to see people loose smaller weights over a months span. I think my crazy weight loss is coming to an end and I need to press on not to gain it all back. I am kind of scared to get to or close to my goal and then I need to try and maintain. I hope maybe some of you will be there also when I arrive. I will need encouragement and support then too. Keep up the good work coffeegirl! Congratulations on a well deserved win.
