Honestly, ours doesn't seem to use any system lately. Just if it fits, the it must go here. It is all jumbled up and unorganized lately.

Our local Walmart just remodeled and moved the fabrics to the middle of the store and they are all arranged by price or just stuck somewhere. They put the current quilt of the month fabric at the end of a row, but past months fabrics are just scattered around. It is a bit frustrating trying to find all the matching fabrics. When they are all displayed together, I have a tendency to buy more, so I guess in a way they are doing me a favor.

Sometimes I think it depends on who is working the dept. We have a couple ladys at our store who are very concious of putting like fabrics together and even trys to make sure like colors are together. Then there are a couple who just shove the bolt where ever it fits. I guess it depends on if they sew or not.
