Oh, yea ... get two, they will play together.
I agreed to adopt two (i only was looking for one) from co-worker who needed to have someone take them both. A couple, so to speak. How could I break up a couple? So I said Yes. She delivered them ... a charcoal grey and white lady . Lacey and a yellow long haired fella Baby. It has been a little over a year and I have NEVER seen them play or sleep together. I have seen Lacey smack Baby once in a while for no apparent reason and Baby just blinks and moves away!
I love them both dearly but have never seen such an uncompatibile couple.
I wish I had the technology to post pictures.

She was having babies and was so big she couldn't get food on her own. I fed her and talked to her every morning for about a month. a couple weeks before she had her babies, I got to touch her. She brought the babies for me to see when they were about 5-6 weeks old. She was by the door and kept walking a few feet and looking back, figured she was asking me to follow. she led me out by the garage and then went sideways, OK I will stop, she waited a bit to see if I would stop and then called one of the kittens out. Then a second and then a third. Was just amazing. We eventually tamed the kittens and MAMA, found homes for two of the babies and let her keep her favorite. Eventually we brought them indoors. They still do not like going to the vet, but the put up with it to have a nice warm place to stay in the winter. The other two are tuxedo's, both were strays that were abandoned.

Wow, that is amazing! I've never seen a mama cat do that!

My others I had just tollerated each other. They never played or slept together either.

These do tho! They were cage mates, so I knew they'd get along.

No, but my husband is because I told him he would have to pay for 2 of them and help me with them! All were adopted from the shelter.
