LOL!

We have a friend who has a good sense of humor. He was at the driver's license office and there was a child throwing a tantrum while in the line. He didn't know the parents of the child but proceeded to lay down on the floor and have a tantrum too. Guess he was having too much fun because when he finally looked up, the child was standing quietly back in line and he was on the floor all by himself. He got up, dusted himself off and got back in line too.

I just looked at my boys and asked them it they would like to make it to their next b-day because they may not make it to the next 5 minutes. I used to ask them also if they would like me to make "Banshee" time. I could always be louder than they ever were. I always got my point across. Never had to beat them. They knew better than to "dare" me. I always carried out the dare and they suffered the consequences. Only took a couple of times when they were very young. I didn't have time to put up with those kind of actions. I wasn't a mean or strict mother, I was a matter of fact and no nonsense mother.

This reminded me of my mom throwing a temper tantrum with my siblings. Worked every time. :)
I might add that she did this at home.

HAHAHA, with the kids I watched or my own we would have tantrum training. I would just scream and have them scream and then told them until they could get as loud as me and do it right they shouldn't bother at all cause it was just a waste of time and they were welcome to try if they could do it louder than me and correctly. they stopped having tantrums and never took me up on doing it better so that seemed to work. It was so funny though to see the looks on their faces when I was telling them it was okay to have one, but they would have to do in the bedroom with the door closed. That way if I could hear them through the door they would be on the right track. Actually only one kids took me up on it and that was my DH's daughter that was over visiting. She was very spoiled and that didn't fly at our house, she broke the bed slats that night jumping on the bed and having fits but after that she didn't pull it again.
