Good morning, all. I won't join the challenge this time,as we have a pretty iffy sched this month.Might visit family in Fl, might not.If we fly,the puter stays home.
I'm having to learn what works for me about losing weight.
Things I'm working on.
Can't eat more on wk ends.
Have to eat between 1200-1400 cals every day.
This is a life long event.I can & I will eat more healthy.
Drinking more water is good.

Someone mentioned having to eat at a party.A few yrs ago,a friend lost a whole lot of wt & her stock ans in such a situation was "Sorry,I've developed an allergy" to whatever food they were pushing on her.She felt that some ppl really are food pushers....they want to see everyone eating a lot.Anyway, she's kept it off for nearly 10 yrs.

Here's a recipe I've used for a long time.If I have berries to sprinkle on, I omit the raisins.

BAKED OATMEAL-LOW FAT

3 cups Oatmeal
1/2 cup SF applesauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 beaten eggs(or egg whites)
1 cup skim milk
1/2 tsp salt,
2 tsp baking powder
1 level tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup rasins.

Heat oven to 350
Mix all ingredients, pour in sprayed cake pan and bake for 20-30 min

I had a bad weight month in September and started out October up a few pounds. I have already lost 2 pounds of that. I went to the gym 2 days last week but a stiff neck kept me from going more
A big accomplishment for me. Yesterday I went to Walmart and bought a pair of jeans. I used to wear 18w. These were 16, not W just regular. My goal is to never buy anything again from the Womens department.

I'd like to sign in, how and where do I send the FQ? in Blue/White, my favorite colors too.

Good morning all!
Glassnquilts, I love that goal! I, too, am tired of the Women's Dept as I have shopped there all of my adult life.

Journal today: What is real happiness? What do I count on in life to make me happy, and what is superficial?

Motivation: Can I do one thing today that reflects my happiness value?

Judi, You are now officially in!
You don't send the FQ until the end of the month when the winner is announced. Maybe it will be you!

i've even been known to wrap it in my napkin. if you come to a birthday party at my house you won't be forced or shamed into eating anything. why do people who love us do that?

That's a great idea. I have been to parties where they push the food too...I may even have pushed it a time or two myself  so that's a good reminder to me.
