I was so excited about trying this with old candles until I saw the comment about it "blowing up all over the kitchen" OMG how did that happen...and has anyone else had it happen?

OMG... I haven't thought of those in years. I bet I've made 50 over the years....you get creative with gifts when you're a broke single gal and then an almost-broke new bridge. I think we use to whip some of the melted wax with a mixer and spread it over the candle too. Made it look like snow.

Then with a spatula she applied the whipped stuff to the milk carton candles. Sometimes she used food coloring in the soap flakes. When the lights in the room were turned off, it was magical! I remember the centerpiece for the dining room table she made with three candles and pine branches. Sweet memories!!! Chris
