I make these. I have sent 50 to Nigeria and 50 to South America and now working on 50 more for Puerto Rico. Easy to make.

Yes, I use bias tape and it works really well. I try as best I can to coordinate the colors. I also put a pocket on the little dress and use part of the bias tape as the very top of the pocket.

Our circle at church is making these for an Orphanage we support in Haiti. So far I have made about thirty and have pillow cases for about 20 more. They are adorable especially with pillowcase with embroidery on it. I do use bias tape for the armholes not knowing what kind of washing will be done, I think it will last longer. Just be careful they are habit forming.

I made one for my DGD when she was 2. I wasn't crazy about it. I think they would look better on a taller child. One of the ladies in my church asked me this morning if I would make some for her girls. I don't like to sew for the public anymore, so I suggested some one else.

I use a 2 1/2 inch strip instead of the bias tape. I fold in half - stitch to the wrong side (armhold section) then turn and top stitch on the right side. I think they look better than the tape. I also use the fill width if the fabric -- this allows for the growth of the child -- it may become a top if the fabric lasts!! These have been sent to Honduras in Maji Boxes.

Hi ,I made these for our church ,to be sent to dress a girl around the world . They are so easy to make from pillowcases .I also made my own pillowcases and made them into dresses .
Their website is
dressagirlaroundtheworld.com

They have patterns on there .I made my own bias and made it longer so they can adjust the length that they needed hope this helps .
