I love to find applications for all the decorative stitches on my machine. I've made pillowcases with a top stitch close to the edge to hold the trim down but didn't think to use a decorative stitch. Not too late to do that to some of the ones I have that haven't been sewn down!

Your pillowcase is beautiful!

Those look great with that stitching, and solves an annoying little problem! Joan Ford had a way to build that accent strip into the pillowcase but for the life of me I can't find it now.

I like the idea of using an fancy stitch. I usually just cut my strip narrower. If it's narrow, it seems to lay flat after it's washed.

Love the idea of a decorative stitch.

I like to use decorative stitches also but I incorporate the decorative strip into the casing - no need to iron it because it is all one piece. Also, fewer seams at the same point.

What a lovely touch! That's a great way to solve the problem. Very pretty.
