I am a veteran - but from Vietnam-era and the response to people serving then was WAAAAY different than it is today. Thanks for all of you out there who are veterans as well and everyone have a safe and happy Memorial Day. Rememberance of silence at 3:00 local time wherever you are.

We started out today at our church's cemetery to have Mass to offer prayers for all deceased military from all wars. Many people prayed for members of their families. Very moving. After coffee/OJ, donuts, and fellowship were enjoyed by all.

Thank you for doing that for our Veterans. Tell your mom there are so many of us who appreciate what our older Veterans did during WWII, and all Veterans everywhere in every war. If it were not for them, our country would be in even worse shape than it is. Their love and service truly make the United States of America the land of the free and the home of the brave. God bless each one.

I went to the national cemetery in Canton, GA today where my parents are buried. There were flags on each grave and it was beautiful. As we left we passed a middle aged man in a lawn chair, sitting with the grave of his son, killed in action. Broke my heart. Thank you to the Father and the Son, forever thank you.

Thanks for doing this!
My two younger brothers placed over 200 flags at a cemetary in Indianapolis on Sat. I was very proud that they gave their time to do this. |
Thank-you for doing this! My late husband served in the navy in Vietnam.
