The characters are the same; but some books go into past generations. Actually, the newest one is back to the Civil War. Great reads, as I have read all of them!

I have read 4 and am on The Runaway Quilt. I love these books! I also want to find the books that I have gotten from the library with the instructions for Sylvia's Bridal Quilt. I want to make one! Anybody else?

I have started making some of the blocks for Sylvia's Bridal Sampler along with the Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt, but am really going to town with the Affairs of the Heart Quilt that is going to be a Cyber Sew beginning on June 5. The link to the main thread is in my signature.
I was hand piecing the 4 1/2" Dear Jane blocks and am now hand quilting it - or rather will pick it up again when it cools down for fall. I was eyeballing the thermostat for turning on the A/C just a few minutes ago. Too early for A/C. |
I'm currently reading "Union Quilters", but have read all the other ones. I strongly recommend reading them in order because the characters develop as the story goes on, divorces, love stories, etc. There are a few, like "Union Quilters" that flashback to Sylvia relatives, which builds background for the other books. Definitely worth the read. Public library usually has them all.

I saw a book today at the quilt show but I can't remember the name of it... it was an anthology with several authors but I only remember 2 of them, Jennifer Blake and JoAnne Cassity. Does anybody happen to know this book?

Nevermind... I found it on Amazon. Quilting Circle published in '96.

I just finished the Aloha quilt book. I like these they are about quilts, history and mostly friendship. To me a winning combination.

I am currently reading the just released Union Quilters. I have read all, and read them in order. I think it helps to read them in order, so you can keep the characters clear.
