I know!!! We had 2"...only problem was that it came down so hard that most of it probably rolled right off instead of sinking in.
The dog had a bad night with all the thunder and lightning...she barked at the sky a couple of times. I have pulled a whole lot of weeds this morning...wet ground makes them come out with roots. Tonight we put her in the garage, at least she didn't eat my truck...lol |
Rain here too! Raining again this morning. Yeah!!!!!

Hallelujah! Wasn't it great?? I live in Wisconsin too

Just wondering, all you quilters with animals that don't like storms, have you tried those security vests for the dogs?
Think that is what they are called. A snug vest or some sort that makes them feel more secure. We don't have that problem so don't know how they work. We are more feline infested, one canine, the noise and lightening does drive a couple of the cats into hiding if they aren't kenneled ahead of time. And as always, if you get animals for quilting buddies and not breeding, please spay or neuter the animal to help cut down on the needless waste of life at the pounds. |

Our Bella would probably eat that too. She seems to do better in the garage where there are no windows. We have a night light in there and a fan to keep her cool. It also seems to drown out the thunder noise. |
We have had a little rain over the last couple of days but it hasn't been enough to say so. I would love to have a nice steady rain all night long. It has cooled off yesterday and today and it was a wonderful night to sleep. I'm not a hot weather person anyway, but this summer has not been a lot of fun.

It's so strange to say "What a beautiful day!" when it is raining cats and dogs! LOL We've only had a couple of hard down pours each night for the past three and only for about 15 mins but every little bit helps!

We need rain so badly. Corn in firing & beans don't look the best either. Around here, the Iowa weather guage is a bottle cap. Lord, please.

I am in the NW so no problem with rain, but had quite a thunder storm this morning. One crack was very loud and close. Then this afternoon the elec. went off. I guess they were repairing what ever that bolt hit...Hope you folks back east get the rain you need...
