Yes you are correct only I am going to call them "wiz" tents LOL.
Just so I don't "offend" SOME people, goodness knows that some people take offense to someone saying "good morning" if it happens to be 1 minute past noon LOL. Personally I don't take offense that easy, but I try to avoid offending others when possible.

K well since your son is grown and no grandkids (sons) yet we
will let you call them party hats for daisy and feeney LOL. I have a quilting friend who is due in mid-late August and is going to have another boy (#2), so I am making her some of these wiz tents, baby washclothes, and hooded bath towels for a baby gift.

Question for you....
Can you (or anyone else) use pieces of thread scraps? Such as what is in the picture below. This is ONLY embroidery thread, mostly polyester thread but some (very small amount) of rayon & metallic thread from when I am making ANYTHING on the embroidery machine. I just HATE the thought of throwing away even these thread scraps, started saving them for a friend who asked me to because they was getting into "mutli fiber" art quilts and thought the thread would be "cool" to add as a dimension to the art quilts. Then she changed her mind about making art quilts, but now I can't bring myself to toss the thread in the trash. MANY (most?) of this pile of thread are lengths about 6+ inches long. What a great idea wiz catchers are! Boy I sure could have used some way back when ...
As for the thread, why not make an art quilt? Looks like some might fine hair or a birds' nest. |
I never had a boy, I had 1 daughter (by birth) and 2 daughters by love
(step). Only boys I had been around was friends and family on a very LIMITED basis. As for ME making an art quilt? ummm no thanks doesn't interest me in the least.

LOL but thats the thing I have no interest in that.
Do you want it? I have enough to divide if you would like some of it.

Louise if you arrange that thread on a piece of material color or otherwise and put a piece of netting over it and do miander quilting you'd have a beautiful Doll Quilt add borders etc..
