This happens to us a lot. DH is prematurely gray, so they just assume. I am 52. We are on a fixed income so it helps.

I could hardly wait to get to the senior menu!

my 5 yr old GS & I took gramma out to dinner. when I realized we both qualified for "senior" discount (60&85), told the waitress we'd have the same thing! She said--they had a "REGULAR" menu for younger people with children. Offered to show her my ID-"no if you want to be 55, that's fine!" LOL!!-almost went for full price!

discounts are good however you get them . I started going grey at 24 . runs in the family.colour of my hair never bothered me . A friend of mine was forever saying `you should get it coloured ` I never did .Think of all the cash I have saved !As my hair is baby fine the chemicals would`nt have done it much good either. I`m a happy bunnie with what I have got .

Everybody thought I was older than I was when I was 14. They thought my mom was my younger sister. Now to get the senior discount I have to show my ID. At first I thought they were kidding, but they aren't. I'm 70

That's funny. I take discounts all the time and just laugh about it.Sometimes it's even fun and I save money.

take it and run. Maybe the person was just being generous.

IMHO Age is only a number but a discount is $$ you can use to buy more fabric. :)

A couple of years ago AARP send me an admission form. I almost sent it in with all the correct information just to see if they would allow it...
Sometimes age is just a number. :) |
