Very touching scenes. Reminds me of my parents who passed away only 28 days apart after over 60 years of marriage. As they are buried in a national cemetery, they even share a headstone. I hope to be so blessed.

Met my DH at 15 too! High school sweethearts, married 42 years now. DH had stroke at 55 years young but is still with me 5 years later for which I am thankful. Never think you have forever because your forever may be up tomorrow.

I had a very similar prom gown back in 1961. Hummm, wonder where he is now?

Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. Cancer is such a devastating illness. And, you are right, he is not hurting anymore and knowing that this is not the end is comforting. My Mom was dying of cancer when my Dad had a massive heart attack. We buried them 16 days apart. Wonderful for them, but hard for us. GOD Bless you
