Thanks for asking the question.....I think I have read 80% of the books mentioned. When I go to the library I feel like there are no more books for me to read. I am going to mark this thread so as I can come back to and write down the names of the authors I haven't read. This board has me hooked on Lee Child books, but I'm close to finishing that series. As for Jamie....a quilting buddy of mine and I were discussing just last week what we would take with us when we went to Scotland and stepped through the stones. We both agreed...new and younger bodies were first on the list. I'm sure that I will enjoy many new (to me) authors and books. Thanks again.

janet evanovich. her books are numerical, continuing characters, and light-hearted mysteries. i like listening while i sew or reading on-line before i fall asleep. i love getting e-books from the library. i'm never late returning them! and i don't have to get in and out of the car to get them/ return them. i do hate the wait! why can't they have as many copies available as needed?

Bleeder by Shelby Smoak is an excellent non-fiction book. Shelby was one of my chemistry students many years ago. He has hemophilia an contracted the HIV virus at the age of 10. This is his memoir of his struggles with the disease. I had no idea what he was facing. This book really makes you think! It is available on amazon. I highly recommend it!

I watch my 2 1/2 year old (very active) grandson, 7 year old grandaughter, and take care of my elderly mother- she's in a home but she constantly needs something from me. I don't have time to read!!

Wow, more people who read. Yippee!
At this time, my quilt room is not available to me and my sewing stuff is put up. If I can't sew, I might as well read and I am a voracious reader. I have read the Outlander series, love Jamie and Claire and am waiting for the next book. I read JA Micheners Hawaii several times and have the movie on VCR. Read all the number 1 detective agency stories and all the Rosamond Pilcher books too. Can't get into Jodi Picoult. Loved all the Chris "Midwives" Bojannon (?sp) books. They are food for thought while still a good read. Right now I am reading Jo Nesbo's Nemesis. I have read these books out of sequence but they are still good. Love that Harry Hole. Good read, sometimes graphic. I also read the Lee Child series on Jack Reacher. Now why they cast Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher, I will never understand. Gotta love Hollywood. In the books, you gotta love this improbable hero but he's 6'4 and 160 - 180 lbs". Good read. As soon as I am done with Nemesis, I will be starting "The Twelve" which is the second in the "Passage" trilogy by Justin Cronin. I sure hope my quilting room gets put together soon or I hope quilting is like riding a bicycle! LOL aren't books great!!! |

I''m reading Pizza Bomber, the story of a bank robbery that occurred where I live. I know the author and the people are fascinating.

I always am reading more than one book. First of all, "Loved the Last Child". Now I am reading a second book by Louise Erdrich, "Four Souls" after having just finished "Tracks". I am also reading "A Tale of Two Cities" and "The Blue Zone". Some days it is hard for me to decide between reading and quilting so I always have a quilt to work on in my lap at night while watching mindless TV.
