Love Aldi's, great prices on produce and milk.

Also, if you buy something that is not right-good when you open it tell them. they will give you a replacement. My mom told them about a pack of taco seasoning that was only half full and she got a free one. They do stand by their products. :)

We have one here but I find I can't get a lot of thinngs there. And I don't like putting in a quarter to use a shopping basket. Haven't been in a while

Some things there are better than others - just know your prices at the other stores and you will see what the better buys are. One good thing is that WalMart will match Aldi's prices on certain things - produce for sure. Aldi's had 1 lb strawberry packages almost all summer for 99¢ and they were almost always out - so just took the ad to WalMart and bought my strawberries there. Last week, Aldi's had avacado's for 49¢ and Walmart had theirs for way over $1 - so just showed the WalMart cashier the ad and bought two avacado's for 98¢ - very big ones - much bigger than the ones that Aldi's would have had.

My first visit to ALDI was not one I wanted to repeat, but someone encouraged me to go back and just buy a few things and take time to really see where the values were. Now I buy most of my produce at ALDI along with a lot of other things. I think their ground beef is especially good. I have become an avid ALDI shopper for about 8 years now. I buy most of my groceries there and less and less at Kroger.
Call me a Happy ALDI shoppers. It just grows on your once you get used to the concept. June in Cincinnati |

lolol, be interesting to take some of the ALDI brand stuff and photograph it here in France, Uk, and US...
The Aldi in UK seems to be slightly better than the french version for fresh fruit, veg and the bread and cakes. In France and the uk I find the frozen food good and they do white chocolate and cranberry cookies...my gosh they are a very special cookie :O) They have special offers twice a week with a variety of things for sale, sewing machines, books, garden stuff, computers, tvs etc etc... do you have lidls in the us yet ? |
Love the quarter-for-the-cart. The parking lot is always neat. Never have to worry about dings in the car or the empty parking space that turns out to have a cart in it. That one really gets my goat.

I now do about 97% of my shopping at Aldis because as a retired professional Chef I like quality and that I can get at such amazing prices, in fact my grocery bill is about half of what it was when I shopped at Tescos for a lot better quality. The other 3% is spent between Lidl's, a similar discount store and Asda's, all I know is that I eat better with first class products, especially veg n fruit at a really good low price, give them a go IMO you won't regret it.
