Are we to assume that prescription medicine is not biodegradable?

Our local police take them too. Our local pharmacies charge a fee to dispose of them. PD will take them for free. Thanks for being a responsible steward of our planet!!!

Our Kroger pharmacy has a bin.

Just called our nearest CVS - they do NOT take old meds - they do sell an envelope for $5.00 that can be mailed to "a central location"

I am lucky I dont' have any the one time I did it was old dog prescriptions and the Walgreens I think took them to dispose of. I know we don't need anymore antibiotics etc in our ground or water. Any of the pain meds I had from surgery I kept ahold of they are all gone. All I have now is some Flexiril and that will be used up.

From Salt Lake City Utah, Our sheriff's offices take them. I took a zip lock plastic bag full there a while back. Don't know how they dispose of them from there.

when I went off coumidin, the visiting nurse told me to pour cooking oil on them and tape the container shut, then it could go into the trash. I put it in with some kitchen garbage.
|
Our local police department has a receptacle for them. I understand that the pharmacies will also take them.
