Yummo!

I love the honey mustard they use at Arby's on roast beef. So I found if I use a little mustard and mix it in the Miracle Whip it is just enough tang but not too much for me. I am not a mustard person really. But I do love this on shaved roast beef on a hamb bun!

BLT with some onions, miracle whip and garden tomatoes. Now our favorite Winter sandwich is a toasted Spam and peanut butter with any kind of soup. We saw the recipe on the Spam can the first year we were married...almost 53 yrs. now. I think Spam was 50 years old when we hit our 50th.

I love Black 'n Blue Burgers from the Back Porch Saloon in Cincinnati. They are soo juicy. And they are great with a tall cold beer. I just drool thinking about it. Other than that I also love cold meatloaf sandwiches with hot banana peppers and hot sweet mustard on dark rye.

Ps 150 02-22-2011 06:18 PM

Mmmm, mine is a buffalo chicken sandwich. I take thin sliced layers of Sara Lee Buffalo Chicken, pile it on dense country style bread, add some diced red peppers, slices of monterey jack cheese, diced red onion and drizzled with ranch dressing. Yum, yum, yum!

grandma Janice 02-22-2011 06:55 PM

my favorite is peanut butter and bananas but they don't like me. so I mix honey with the peanut butter and that's good too.

neeng 02-22-2011 07:15 PM

Fresh from the garden thick slice of tomato, on white, with mayo on one slice, butter on the other, salt and pepper. A slice of heaven.

(But a good shaved turkey on rye with mayo is a close second!)

I think my all time favorite number one sandwich is my own beefburgers. Cooked crumbled hamburger and mushroom soup mixed. Then a hamb bun with ketchup(and I have to cover every inch! LOL My dad used to point out any spot I missed - his way of teasing me) and then my homemade Aristocrat pickles(sweet) and onion slices. It is the best!!! No cheese on this one. I do like cheese on a cheeseburger but not my beefburgers.

So what is your favorite sandwich???

I haven't had Pork Tenderloin since I was younger when grandma would
bring them on the plane from Des Moines in her suitcase to California. Pork Tenderloin is the best and I haven't seen it anywhere but DesMoines. It's been 20 years since I've tasted a pork tenderloin. OMG!!!!

We have them here in Brownwood and in Lubbock. I bought one today at WM. Hope it's good. It's already marinated in rasberry and chipolet. They have them in FL too. I am so glad we can get them. Lean pork is my favorite meat.

CountryCat 02-22-2011 11:32 PM

"I like chicken salad like this except pecans instead of walnuts and add grapes."
Love that sandwich, too, but my new favorite is Multi-Grain bread toasted, with super chunk peanut butter & slices apples. Grab a few chips & a glass of milk & you're set!
Last year my DH & I drove about 4hrs to eat the "Best Pork Tenderloin sandwich in Iowa" It was HUGE & well worth the drive. We then drove 2 hrs to eat the "3rd Best PT Sand in Iowa" (Thank goodness the grill closed 10 min. before we got there, because I couldn't eat another bite!)
I AM going to try a lot of these new combinations & some I'd forgotten about. Thanks for the ideas!
