I will be descending on my kids-they are all in the states, one is getting married the weekend before, so a good excuse to be there.

Same as every year, I cook and the family comes and eats! This year my niece and her family will be joining us for the first time (they just relocated from PA to VA) so we are planning on 15 to 18 guests. It should be fun!

My husband and I live in the City of St. Paul. Our son and his family live in a small town south of the Cities on a small farm. It is the classic "Rockwellian" picture of "Over the River and Through the Woods, to Grandchildren's House we Go".
So we won't be traveling there for Thanksgiving this year, however, they are welcome here. I am fixing the whole schmear including our traditional Wild Rice Casserole - really yummy and so good warm with a cold turkey sandwich! I like to buy a huge turkey for leftovers! I'll make a couple of pies for anyone that comes over. Generally,. someone always stops over. If the kids have plans that is great too. Last year they were here and haven't had their own Thanksgiving dinner since they moved on the farm two years ago. It's their turn to have their own dinner too! So, we'll have our dinner, watch football, eat sandwiches, watch football, go to bed! That's our Thanksgiving this year. Edie |
i will be going to my sister's . i host christmas and she hosts thanksgiving.

Traveling 150 miles to SIL's home. We usd to number 32 but over the years we have dwindled to 12. We eat way too much food.
|
Thanksgiving here. Probably between 25 and 30 this year, down about 11 from last year. A lot of work, but we have the only place big enough and accessible for wheelchairs. It's partly carry-in so I don't have all the cooking on my shoulders. DD's come over to help with setup and some food prep on Wednesday. It can be a lot fun, and about the only time extended family gets together. Face-to-face beats facedbook!!

It's at my house. I love Thanksgiving. Just food, family, friends. Love it. Numbers change from year to year, always pick up a few "strays". Love it.
