Thanks Eddie.

I went from being a very active member to a lurker. I sent a PM to a moderator who never responded to me, just ignored it, left me feeling that my time is better spent elsewhere (that was several weeks ago, guess she is busy). This is the first time I have been on here for about 10 days or so. I will be gone in a couple of minutes.

Thick skin is the key.
I think the person who was "run off" while in the chat room probably had thin skin. And a propensity to talk about stuff that some people found offensive.

I don't post often because my house is like a three ring circus, and I don't often have the time or presence of mind to think straight enough to post much. I don't do chat rooms anywhere anytime.

Also, if I have ever come across to anyone here as being rude, please forgive me. The last thing I would ever want to do in my life is hurt anyone's feelings.

I would send her another message. Perhaps she never received your first one. I guess I sort of have a 3 strike rule. In any event, I would hate to see you leave, I enjoy your posts.

Sorry to lose you, Pam.

The PDA thing should probably be explained to everyone! When they show up in "Recent Posts," they seem a little out of place. A personal rant or whine makes sense when you realize it's basically a journal entry. That's what diarists do. If I had known about PDAs, I wouldn't tell people to buck up, buttercup. Diarists want commiseration not solutions. As an empiricist, I'll be careful not to post on them in the future.

An Ignore function would solve everyone's problems. It's funny that the Buddy List came before the Ignore List. It's usually the other way around.

QFT. Life is much sunnier under a heavy layer.

There's far too much information here to simply leave because someone's being snarky. Then again, I'm not above handing someone snarky her behind on a silver platter, so my opinion doesn't count for much.

what is
PDA?

i am not going anywhere, i post when i can..i love reading and looking at the pictures!

PDA is Personal Diary and Announcements. We had some discussion at one time about personal conversations interfering with quilting talk so Admin created the PDA neighborhood for us. It is a place where I can talk about anything within reason and my friends can pop in when they have time and leave me a message. It is fun to talk about everyday issues in my life and to visit my friends PDAs too. We talk about our families our quilting our aches and pains and any thing that is going on in our lives at the time.

You can find a link at the bottom of the page for the PDA section. Here is a link you can click on.

I'm glad you're still here Rhonda -- you are so helpful!!!!!!!

I'm not sure how it could be done but I would like it if when you read a thread you could see the most recent posts first. I've seen many problems crop up here because someone read the first post and commented immediately without reading the most recent posts. When they do this so many things get distorted or repeated unnecessarily.

I read page one first and then jump to the last page and read backwards. That way I can keep things sort of straight.

Just a thot.... probably would confuse things even more.
