birds chirping, the wind in the trees, crickets, etc.

A baby's deep belly laugh, wind in the pine trees, frogs, hoot owls, just the nature sounds when sitting in the yard.

Born and raised in the hills..the sound of wind in the trees soothes me and takes me way back in time.
The sound of water rippling over rocks when watching a bobbing plastic ball in the water while fishing. The sound of giggling small kids in bed after being told to be quiet and go to sleep. Laughing baby when he sees leaves falling around him. Brother laughing while telling me a joke that I sent him weeks ago in an email! The purring of my cat when he is nestled near my shoulder when I'm almost asleep. Squeals of joy when out of state daughters walk in the door~ |
The nickers and whinnies of my wonderful horses, my dogs greeting me when I get home, and the purring of my cats :-)
|
All of these are really wonderful sounds. My all time favorite is a baby's giggle when they first laugh out loud. To me, there is no more precious sound than that.
|
My DGD belly laugh. My kitty purring. Rain on the roof. My dog almost squealing when I come home.
|
My sons giggle. His saying dada instead of daddy.

I love the sounds small kids make in church - those are sounds of a church that is growing, not stagnate or dying. It doesn't bother me one little bit if they fuss, or anything else. How else are they going to learn how to act in church?
One Sunday our pastor said, "Let us pray." and a small voice from behind me said, "OK." How precious! |
I love the sound of the dishwasher becasue it reminds me of when I was little and dinner was over and everything cleaned up and Mom was home. It's been over 35 years since I've lived at home and that sound still makes me feel nostalgic!
