I started life out as a legal secretary, then did 18 years working part time in a carpet store doing all manner of things, and now I'm an admin. asst. to the director of a alcohol and substance abuse prevention agency.
Now I feel like I'm contributing to my community. Love my job AND my woman boss.

Oh my goodness, let me see, I have been a wife for 42 years, a mom for 41 (son 41 and dtr 35) a grandma for 21years (21, 18, 15 and 5). Have always worked outside the home mostly in the medical insurance claims field. Started out as a clms adjuster, moved up to Clms Mgr and then Regional Clms Mgr, then a Contract Manger between HMO & drs/hospitals. Retired about 5yrs ago after a stroke. Now I help my DH run a business from home. I've been quilting for about 3 yrs and love it!

Wife for 39 years, mother for 36 years. Got my undergraduate degree at the mature age of 47 and my masters degree at 53 - both in Business Administration.
I worked in the insurance industry for forty years - 14 in life and disability; 8 in medical claims and 18 in casualty as an administrative assistant, office manager and finally as a physical damage/cargo claims adjuster (retiring from that job three years ago.)
I now am a business owner (long arm) and an adjunct teacher at a local community college.

Wow, what a variety of jobs you all have held!
I forgot to add that I worked as a prep cook in a church kitchen, from that learned the catering business and do some catering jobs on the side, mostly high teas - which I love to do!

I'm a retired real estate agent, also previously worked as bookkeeper, secretary, billing manager. Two years before I was to retire I bought a good sewing machine and embroidery machine so I could retire to a quilting hobby. Havin' fun!
