So I have to brag. Friday my beautiful daughter is having her white coat ceremony for med school. It has been a long journey for her but she persisted and now she reached her goal. I am so very proud of her. The rest of the family is flying to Denver to be with her. Any quilt shops I should know about?

Congratulations to your Daughter. I'm sure it wasn't easy.
Can't help with the shops. You should get some ideas. Some members are in Colorado.

Congratulations to your daughter - what an accomplishment. If you are in the Golden area be sure to see the Quilt Museum and visit Harriet Hargrave's shop. It has been a couple of years since my friend and I went on our own little shop hop to Denver - don't know how many of those shops are still open. Google them though - I'm sure you'll find a lot.

Congrats to you and your daughter.

My sister is putting herself through med school. A little at a time, she has most of her pre-med stuff done.
She is a Mom with a little girl to support so its going to take a while. Her favorite saying is..."By time I get done with med school and being a resident in a hospital. I will be to old to practice but my tombstone is gonna say.......

Stacey Laine S...... M.D.

And as her sister I will make sure it says that. If I am still around...LOL

Tip: When you google, also call before you travel to a shop. I googled my area and out of 4 shops listed, there is only 1 still open. They apparently do not update.

How exciting for her, Did she have to apply to many med schools to get in? My granddaughter is a Junior in college this year so will be taking MCATS and applying to med school. Any tips would be helpful.
