I have seen a lot of people selling magazines and books on here, I was wondering how much it costs to ship them? I have a bunch that I would like to sell, but want to set my prices fairly, and still cover the shipping charges.
    Thanks in advance!

I took my packages to the PO, and had them weighed, so the people could pay just the actual shipping cost. I know some like Priority mail, but it costs more usually, (I think)! Books can be sent Media mail, and some people send magazines, but my PO wont let me mail magazines Media, they said because there is advertising in them?

It would just depend on the weight but ship them media mail, its pretty cheap for books, mags, etc. I print and ship from home.

If you know the weight and the zip code where it is going you can get the cost at USPS.com. I bought a postal scale so that I could do this to determine if it would be cheaper to send flat rate or not.

I have some books I was thinking about posting and I just figured I'd go to the post office and see how much for one, two, three, four, etc.

Thanks for your replies all. I guess I'll just run some over to the post office and pick a random zip code, to see how much it will be.

If you go to USPS, they have a way of calculating shipping cost. You do need to know the weight.By all means, use Media mail as others have suggested.

I also use USPS.com. I have a hard enough time getting to the post office (hours not condusive with my work schedule) that I dont want to have to go twice.

    dphelps,

I love the quilt in your avatar. Great choice of colors. What pattern is it.

    Thanks
