When my threee were youngins I warned them that when they became teenagers their hormones would take over and they would begin to think they know it all, and I let them know that if they wanted to live through those wonderful years they best not push their momma or their luck!!! LOL Sounds funny but it worked, not too many problems and they are still alive!!

Well, good luck. I have a son who is 38 and I'm still waiting for him to really grow up. I, however, do love him. His brother grew up around 20.

I've said for years (at least about boys) from the time they are about 14 until they are almost 30, they are not fit to live with; usually by the time they are fit to live with, they are living with someone else...mine are 40 something now and are just wonderful, so it will happen, just hang in there and don't burn any bridges...

If mine cop an attitude with me, I give them the look and it usually takes them down a few notches. If that doesn't work I just pull their snotty little butts off their high horse and lay them out on the ground.

Nothing like seeing a 6'0" man snap to attention when Mom has had enough...LOL

I don't have one, but I can vouch for myself that i did not take long to see how hard adulthood was, and really appreciate my childhood

Both kids, one of each gender, were impossible 14 through 16. Then, each went to bed a monster one night and woke up the next morning a really great person! I was floored when the first one morphed back into a human being so fast but when the second on did it in the same time frame it really blew me away.

Nothing like a daughter at age 51, unmarried and childless, who knows "everything" about parenting and how her three sisers are terrible mothers.

According to my sister (her kids 30, 25) I won't be smart again until my daughter turns 25 or so!
