I sewed barefoot &/or socks for about 35 years. Then a couple of years ago we decided to tile our entire house. The bottoms of my feet get very sore after just a few minutes of walking. So now i wear walking shoes all day and wear them out pretty quickly. But I do love my tile! Easier to keep clean since we live in the county.

I sew wearing shoes and it doesn't matter what type of shoe I wear, I can work the pedal with no problem. When I go to
guild /classes/workshops I dress nice casual and that includes a shoe with a heel, usually a pump, but not high heels.

I sew barefoot in the summer and I wear socks in the winter. Heels are for work only.

Bare left foot. Right foot shoed. Having had 5 stress fractures in the right foot in 15 months, I learned to sew left-footed. Haven't switched back but like the feel of the pedal under my bare foot.

    HAHAHA

ME wear heels? when sewing? oh I love this, it made for a good
laugh for me. I don't wear heels at ANY time.

When I am sewing I HAVE to be barefoot, or at the very least
    with socks on (winter time).

But yes I saw that same ad in the catalog, but I never gave much
    thought to it.

LOL! I never wear heels if I can help it! I had foot surgery in March, need another (other foot) and am a nurse working 12 hr shifts on a busy floor. On my days off I can barely walk, lol. I sew in my bare tootsies, too and have a roller chair that I rarely have to get out of.
