I happen to think my daughters tattoo's are beautiful. I don't like everyones tattoo's and some are just badly done.I don't like skeleton tattoos. Isn't it nice that there are so many different things for people to like? Imagine how boring quilts would be if they were all the same design and gray.
Tattooing is a very old art form. Possibly even before quilting came about.

I have mine I my upper right chest and a small heart in the same place on the left and one on the back of my neck. I also got mine long after I got children when I already had really ugly stretch marks. No one sees the stretch marks ever Except my two surgeons and all the people in the operating rooms. And since they weren't worried about my belly button being moved 2 or 3 inches to the right I don't think I will worry about any of it. LOL

I like to call the "love marks" on my tummy "the Road Map to China" LOL
First pick is the bunny. I would suggest if you plan on having kids, don't get one anywhere near your tummy. LOL
The second is an angel about 9 inches tall. I have it on my back left shoulder. This is in memory of our daughter Jordan who passed away at 3 months from SIDS.
I have 10 all together. My daughter, Anne, and I have a small matching butterfly on our left hips. Got them for her 15 birthday. Thought my sis was gonna have a stroke! LOL
And yup, dif strokes for dif folks. I'm not offended when someone politely expresses their distaste for tattoos. To each his own. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Keeps us honest.

I have one (4 1/2 inches diameter) of a woman sitting on the moon between my shoulder blades, and a beautiful dragonfly on my left foot up near my toes...(one of my closest friends from high school - which was a loooooooooooong time ago - and I got our matching dragonflies together.
