This is why cars have trunks. I put all packages and all stuff that even MIGHT be tempting in the trunk---and deliberately drive an inexpensive car so I don't stand out to thieves. My ex with his "the world is out to get me" attitude did have a couple of good ideas....

I always do this. When I tell others to do so also, they just laugh at me. But I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that follows/offers this advice :-).

This may sound like a silly solution, but I keep blankets and newspapers in my car. I scatter them over things and this gives my car a trashed / messy look . I think helps discourage thieves from bothering my car.

We never put anything valuable in our van unless the dogs are there to keep it safe. I got tired of things being stolen. If we are there, my dogs love everyone, but if we are not, everyone is an enemy! Worth every penny in vet, training, food, toys, and supplies.

Locks only keep an honest person honest. Thieves don’t let locks, windows or anything stop them from getting your things. It’s very sad the way the world is becoming. I hate not being able to trust people(strangers). You are afraid to help someone you don’t know anymore for fear that it could be some kind of trap or scam

As far as putting anything in your trunk, the glass guy who was replacing the window today said that they will break your window, pop the trunk lever and then take what you have in your trunk. Our SUV does not have a trunk. I will not be leaving anything in it again.

thieves shatter the windows with little ceramic balls that don't make any noise. Big problem in Georgia.

Check your homeowner's insurance and also you car insurance.

We were broken into (car) and homeowner's ins covered the loss.

    Good luck,

Good rule of thumb....take your valuables with you or leave them at home! Never leave valuables in your car!!! Never, never, never! You just never know when someone is watching you!
