Default Are quilters real busy or what?

It seems the board does not have as much activity lately. Has anyone else noticed?

There was Thanksgiving to prepare for and now the after sales and Christmas is approaching fast; probably busy, I know I am.

Yes, I have noticed, but I can't get what I need to do "done" either. But here I am. I can't stay off of this machine.

I agree. It does seem there is not as much activity on the board. Probably has to do with the holidays, finishing up Christmas gifts, shopping, planning, cleaning. Hopefully everything will pick up after the first of the year.

I have noticed that in the last couple of months that there are quite a few missing members.Way before we started fretting about the approaching holidays.Back in April I received an e/mail from an old member wanting me to join a different quilters site because this one was no longer user friendly. I don't remember exactly when the format changed but it was far enough in the past that I no longer had any problems with it. Heck since then my DIL has retrieved all my bookmarks from old format and printed them out for me. So I'm a happy camper.

we go in 'waves'...not spending as much time on the computer- busy- vacations, family stuff, activities---then we have (nothing to do but play on the computer) times-and spend lots of time here- it's nothing to be concerned about...it's like video games- get a new one-spend hours every day playing- the novelty wears off- then you find you turn it on less & less-until you've gone a week or so without even thinking about it- then a rainy/snowy day comes along & you spend the whole day again....
this time of year people are trying to get things done- so the holidays are enjoyable/stress free-

I been busy with a charity quilt. I finished that and made a couple Ipad stands, phone stands too for Christmas gifts ( I love these). Making little things, some scarves for gifts. Made some out of minky which is oh so nice. This morning early, I made a cup cozy using minky, which was on my todo list. Lot's of little things I want to make, everything takes time to do and it is a busy time of the year. I been watching the post wondering what people have been doing. I have simpilified my holidays and makes it much more enjoyable by making some changes.
