How blessed we are today to buy whatever fabric we want, have electric machines to sew, and air-conditioned homes to work in ...in the 90's here today

I hand quilt. I make a quilt because I like the design. As I sew and hand quilt, the quilt takes on its own personality and seems to want to "belong" to someone that I know or who has an important milestone coming up.

I just gave a carpenters wheel king sixe to a young friend who got married for the second time last weekend. I started the quilt 3 years ago -- long before they even met each other.
