I tried. They sounded like something I love: mysteries with a supernatural twist because the detective is a wizard.

Here's a synopsis of the first book (scroll down to read it): http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Sto...es+series+%231

I read the first two books and was bored. The guy at the bookstore loves them and swears they get better. Maybe I'll give them another chance when I'm low on things to read.

Oh, yes, I read Debbie Macomber! I finished one of the Blossom Street books a week or two ago, and love the Cedar Cove series. The Dakota series is the one I got started with.

I haven't heard of the other author, but now I'll check her out.

I only read non-fiction books. One of my favorites is The China Study by T. Collin Campbell. I'm currently reading You Were Born for This by Bruce Wilkinson.

Yes, Debbie Macomber is good when you're in the mood for just a nice story. No deep thinking, no violence - nice and easy. So are those Emilie Richards books.

I am an avid reader. Got myself a Kindle for Christmas. This past week I read "The Choice" and one of the Southern Vampire books. Am reading "The Help" now.
