Default READ in case we lose power during this storm:

Get some of those solar lights (for the walkway, driveway) and have them charged up by the sun and bring them indoors. They make for a wonderful light in case you do not have power. I have about 6 of them sitting in the windowsills right now getting solar powered up. Hope this helps somebody - but hope we do not need this information. The cheap little ones only cost about $1 at WalMart, etc.

I have several of those LED candles that look real. I love them as they have timers to shut themselves off & no flame to worry about. The do look just like regular wax candles.

I have a couple of LED flashlights that you wind to charge. The are great because they never need batteries.

That is a a great idea. It has snowed about 6" here, south of Denver and is still snowing. I am not complaining as I see how hard the East Coast is getting hammered. Stay warm everyone!

We have wood layed in the wood stove, ready to lite(we never use it anymore, except for emergencies) and hubby bought a new generator, just in case. We are supposed to get 8 to 12 in. snow. House is cleaned and laundry done, ready for some sewing time!!
