Thanks for the feedback Patrice. I think I probably missed some of those posts (or did not read them as being over the top.) My background is German, and we are known the world over for being very direct. (Just ask my in-laws. lol)

I hope that we can find the balance again.

I did this recently when they were talking about "big" ironing boards. I posted a picture of my set up that I had posted before. Was that intruding????? I'm sorry if it was but it was a question on who liked them
linda, going back to page 9, i appreciated seeing your set-up. i was one of the ones interested in the making of them.

hijacking: To forcibly stop and seize control of some vehicle in order to rob it or to reach a destination (especially an airplane, truck or a boat).

To forcibly stop and seize control [by changing the subject] of some vehicle [a topic] in order to rob it [take attention away from the original poster or subject] or to reach a destination [the new subject tangent and/or following tangents].

I'm not sure what is still okay to list on Chit-Chat---

personal events are to be on the Journal/Diary section

I guess jokes are okay unless they offend someone????

Birthdays, pets, anniversaries, illnesses have to be posted in the
" general announcment" part of the board with the likelihood that
t hey will be ignored by the majority or lost on page 23 of the topic with a sticky so it won't get removed.....

no requests for prayers or support for loved ones

    What is left?

This is just an observation but hasn't this thread become exactly what admin was voicing a concern about initially? If I am wrong please correct me but isn't admin. the person who created this board? He set guidelines to benifit the group as a whole and not individuals. So of all the complaints received so far on this thread is it not being individualized? He was gracious enough to open this thread for constructive comments, he did not have to do this, he is being considerate. Somehow I don't think the consideration is being returned, instead just complaints. Like Patrice said, admin. will have the final say so maybe we should concentrate on helping with a solution instead of beating the same horse over & over again. (sorry no offense intended to all the horse lovers out there).
Welp, thats my story & I'm sticking to it.
