There was a recent thread about haircolor and I just realized that I'm doing my roots at least every 3 weeks. Not from the color fading but because my hair has decided to take off and grow like weeds. I'm not complaining, it grows slow to begin with but is this common in our 40's to have a growth phase? I thought it was supposed to slow down. I'm seeing a 1/4inch to 1/2 inch growth.

My hair grows like weeds too. I have very curly hair and I cut it down to about 1 inch in 2006. For 1.5 years I kept it that short. In 2008 I relaxed it again and it was down to my shoulders. I have trimmed a few times since, and right now is down to the middle if my back. When I was young it always grew very slowly.

It's the omegas. Is it getting thicker, too?

I know B complexes and Vitamin E are good for the hair, but didn't know about the omegas... thanks for the info :D:D:D

My roots start shoing after about 3 weeks, so that's normal for me. I have noticed that my hai grows a bit faster or slower based on how much protein I'm eating, too.

I think my hair grows faster in the spring and summer....it hasn't yet been a month and my roots are showing over 1/4"...

My hair grows like weeds. I wear it very short and really should get it cut every 3 to 4 weeks. It is still very thick and I am in my 60's. Years ago I tried coloring it but it grew so fast I had to redo it every 3 weeks. I decided to just keep my grey hair. I earned evey one of them and boy was it fun!
