You probably don't. They probably have several people who hold up the hem to get the model in place and then place it around on the floor artfully.

Um. . . it's a mannequin. With that beautiful dress on, I don't think much else matters.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful story and dress. Imagine being a model for it!
When I read the thread title - The Red Dress - I thought it would be related to Red Dress Day which we have in Canada where red dresses are hung everywhere as a reminder of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls.
Instead, this beautiful dress reminded me of the Quilt of Belonging https://www.quiltofbelonging.ca/our-story-2/ which I was lucky enough to visit.
