Just to clarify: When your son was little he used to bite his dad's slippered feet and you would put him in the crate? I think I misread something. lol

Handsome and healthy lad, that Buddy.

So cute! Our dog was the same way when tired. Got wildish, put him in the crate for a little nap and then he was fine again.

Buddy gets picked up this morning-Mark has the day off so will bring him home.

I have to tell you--last night was so peaceful and uncomplicated! I could throw hay to horses when I got home with no puppy barking frantically to get out of his pen. No puppy needing to be pet for 5 min before I can move into the house. I could walk horses without having to wonder where to put him. I took a nap on a bench outside (exhausted but didn't want to be inside yet) and the cat quietly curled up on the bench with me, but that would have been impossble with the Budster around. I just heard my alarm go off for the first time in months--no puppy to get me up too early. It's amazing just how calm things are with the puppy away for the night. Ahhhhhh.......

Shimano and I had a lovely evening. But, when I get home today I'll know right away "He's baaaaaack...."

Thanks for the updates on Buddy. I was just thinking about him the other day and wondering how he was doing. By now he should be recovered from his procedure.
My dogs don't always allow me to sleep when I want to, either. But I don't think I trained them, they train me.

He is, Forest. Thanks for asking. He is waking up later too. I get up for chores at 5:30 and go out and come back in before he stirs now. This is wonderful!! Then he eats and goes back to his crate with a rawhide. Makes my mornings easier. I hate to have him in his outdoor pen when it's so dark out--not that he cares.
