I still have all my 45's and 33 albums. My husband bought me a replica turntable for Christmas a few years ago, and now I listen to all my old music while I sew. Memories..... :)

We were always outside. The neibor girls and I made tents out of old sheets over the clothes line and played in them all summer. Inside was for meals, bed and punishmnet.

Sigh - I wish it were still that way. Life seemed so much simpler than or maybe it was just because I was a child and didn't have the responsibilities that I have now.

Well, now I'm having flashbacks!! I remember grade 1, we all had to line up before class and show our hands, fingernails and our fresh hankie (with our names in the corner). Woe betide any small person with grubby mitts or minus the hankie.

High school had the dreaded maroon coloured gym dress (not too short, we had to do the get on the knees and measure thing) They also had the matching bloomers, fetching numbers with vast amounts of fabric and thick elastic waist and legs.

How about when you bought gas or groceries you got a free plate, gravy boat or something useful!
When you saved green stamps to get something 'special'!
When you & all your neighbors hung out on the porch while the kids played in the streets after dinner!
When you weren't afraid to let your 8 yr old kid walk to the corner store to buy penny candy!

I may have only been a kid, but I remember!
