Default Remix tissue holder - favorite tutorial?

I have been making these quick & easy 5 minutes holders since I saw this post:
    http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...r-t107636.html

I did switch up the pattern a bit. I had a bag of thrifted silk ties! The material has such interesting retro designs, and it looks great with two contrasting colored ones. Also incorporating the label on the back makes it look neat too. A few ties can go a long way...but if you try making these out of ties, I added iron-on interfacing to each material piece before sewing together to give it strength/firmness. The last few I have used a new-to-me serger...but the sewing machine works great too. I think I will give them to family members this weekend.

I just love the Quilting Board tutorials. Do you have a favorite?

The tissue holder is my favorite. I have made many of them for friends and relatives. Thanks for the silk tie idea. I bet you have some beautiful tissue holders from them.

Thanks for sharing - I love those made with the ties. Leaving the label is a nice touch

Those look fabulous made with the ties. I made about 15 of these for my mother's activities director to give out as Bingo prizes at her Assisted Living. Those would have been wonderful to use for the men. Thanks for the idea.

I bought several ties at the consignment store thinking I would make a tie purse for my granddaughters. It didn't happen and I have all those ties so this would be a great way to use them.
