You have my utmost admiration. What talent!!! My dad made most of our furniture when I was a kid, using only a handsaw, brace and bit, hand plane, hammer and what-not. Nothing as elegant as yours, John, but I can really appreciate good workmanship. These are beautiful and I hope you enjoy them for many years.

I think a nice log cabin would wrap around theses things nicely. I would love to build one and have been after my wife for years to go for it. But she is a little faint of heart in going through all the trouble of moving to that more rural of a space where I envision the setting. Maybe Tenn. or Southern Ohio. I think it would be a little isolated for her taste. She is still a city girl at heart. She likes her conveniences.

Amazing work! Now....the armoire needs a door left open and a quilt hanging over it, and more quilts folded neatly on the shelves inside! :)

What a wonderful talent! I have a rocking crib that looks exactly like yours. It is doll size and belonged to my greatmother as a child and has been passed down through the little girls in the family. It has square hand forged nails in it.

I once made a list of things I want to learn in my lifetime. Woodworking is one of them. Your skill is amazing!
