diy! Purchase 4 or 5 programable electric timers.
#1--hook up to a recording of distant rooster crows followed by robin calls and songs.
#2--set the next one to engage after the robins and turn on a 15 watt bulb lamp.
#3-- ditto 100 watts.
#4--heat lamp focused on your head
#5--if necessary, the sounds of garbage cans clanging, motorcycles gunning, screams, shots, running footsteps or a recording of spike jones and the city slickers' rendition of "cocktails for two."

I'm following this thread. I'm also interested in the alarm clocks that mimic sunrise.

Yes, I have one. Since I retired I don't use it anymore, but I liked that it came on gradually, like the sunrise. It didn't just "pop on". I would think using a timer would put the lamp straight on full?
