I was looking at pics on here of some new pets and my 5 yr old lab/shep mix comes to the door, I let her in....she has rolled in something...Again...when I try to get it out I realize, its GUM...Ahhhhhh
Good think I love her, she really is a good dog just loves to roll, mostly in cow manure or other gross stuff.
    Yuk

    Yuk
Gum is harder to get off/out than some of the other gross stuff.

Yuk! She's probably not real interested or cooperative
in your attempts to get it out of her hair, either.

I've heard peanut butter will help to remove it. Or maybe just some baby or olive oil. Haven't actually tried this though.

LOL!!! It least it's not something dead or some poop!!!

My labs used to dip under my Suburban and get oil on them selves. That and getting a little close to the BBQ!

I feel for you! As a child, we had a miniature poodle who loved to roll in poop too. My Mom said he liked to play big game hunter and disguise his smell that way. Poor thing couldn't figure out why we weren't so thrilled when he enthusiastic greetings.

That was my dog, when she was with me. I took her down by the river, and ooohhhh, yuk! Is there anything worse than being dead and wet? It used to be a fish. Had to drive home with my head actually out the window, as much as possible!

Every day I ask myself why do these dogs want to roll in dirty & smelly stuff? I have no answers..I do know that one of them will be in the dirt within 5 minutes of getting outside after a bath.....

At least it is a dog, you can just the hair off and it won't be complaining about a bad haircut like a kid would!!
