I was asking if they had any tools and the lady saw my 1951 Ford and she told me she had an old car that she needed to get out of her garage. I looked and it was in pieces, but all there! I asked her how much she wanted for it and she asked if $500 was too much. I could not get my wallet out fast enough!!

I was just wondering who likes to go to rummage sales, flea markets, antique stores or thrift stores?
What particular things are you looking for? This should be fun to see what we all like to shop for.

A $2 vacuum cleaner that worked great and lasted 3yrs.
A $15 Brothers sewing machine (new) that I used for years
134 yds of cotton fabric just a couple of weeks ago. 50 cents a piece (no matter the yardage) or 3 for a dollar
a tiny refridgerator for my sewing room for $10
Even though I don't wear jewelry I bought an antique Zuni silver, turquois, mother of pearl, and onyx ring for only $15 I walked around the corner down another aisle at the flea market and a man of American Indian heritage offered my $200 for it.

Have you ever watched "American Pickers"? LOVE that! 2 guys from Iowa searching the midwest for "treasures" in old barns., etc

I have a community thrift about five miles away that usually has good lengths of fabric. I also like to look for sewing/quilting books and I have a couple of favorite authors I collect.
