I just got an email from a young woman begging for help. She has had three stray cats come onto their property in the last week and give birth. They are located next to a defunct housing development and everyone dumps their cats. She is frantic as she just had a baby of her own four days ago and doesnt think she can do it. She wrote she was putting them back outside (its raining and windy) and letting things happen as will. I encouraged call all the rescues you can, post on the internet anything.. so .. we will see. If you live near Sacramento however and want to help her please let me know and I will contact her immediately. Apparently the momma cats are nice cats but it is a many week commitment and then finding homes etc.. so be prepared she is not wanting them back.

She can take them down to Animal Control (Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation) on Front St. They take strays and she won't have to pay for anything. However, they may be put down.

That is so sad. If people no longer want or can take care of their pets they shouldn't dump them.

Unfortunately, I'm in a really small apartment with a nearly 17yo who's an adamant only cat (he HATES other cats). (sniffle) (feeling very sorry for moms and babies)
