Salvaging wool from clothing but what to do with the lining?
I've bought several suit coats from Goodwill with the intention of cutting them apart and washing the wool for use in applique projects. Seems a waste to throw away the silky lining. Any idea of what to do with it?

Goodwill ? Ballgowns for Barbies, jammies for Barbies, summer shirts for Barbies, party skirts for Barbies...
Can you tell my mom used to wardrobe my Barbie with the linings from old jackets and skirts? Seriously, I'm sure there are folks who would take it off your hands for you, it's just a matter of finding them. Freecycle or someplace like that. And I was serious about giving it back to Goodwill. There's a crafter out there visiting the Goodwill regularly, just waiting for that nice neat baggie of trimmed lining material for his/her art...
