Santa presents were unwrapped. Stokings were put on the bedroom door knobs so when the boys got up they could work on those while I went down to the family room and turned on the tree lights and make coffee....

Ours were unwrapped also and each child has his own 'pile'. We didn't snoop in the middle of the night but my older sis knew where mom kept the presents and she would snoop and tell us what we were getting. I hated that......I wanted to be surprised!!

Unwrapped and I followed this same tradition with my children. I have movies of them as they walked into the room and the delight on their faces as they saw what Santa had left.

This reminds me of our oldest granddaughter she would get up and carefully opened her presents and then carefully reseal them,Sneaky. Oh! yes she would then go back to bed. We all told her finally that if she did that anymore the following year there would be no Santa coming. Fun memories.

Santa wrapped the gifts in different colored paper - No names and he left mom the list under her paper so she could tell us.

Santa doesn't have the time to wrap his presents so he just puts them under the tree. Only family and friends wrapped their presents. I don't have sibblings, however I did do my part for snooping, I think it pleased my parents.

That was mine .. I always had my Christmas dress unwrapped with my new Christmas shoes sitting right there waiting for me. Then everything else was wrapped. It was the same for my brothers, they had their Christmas shirts and pants new shoes unwrapped then the rest wrapped. OH what memories that one brought back !! Thanks !!

Santa's presents are wrapped with just the person's name on it. It doesn't say FROM SANTA because Santa would get carpel tunnel from signing his name on everything. Stocking would be filled and layed on the ends of beds after everyone went to sleep. Leaving them on the beds gives us a few more minutes peace before "mayhem" happens. lol

Santa gifts unwrapped. Mom, Dad, grandparents gifts wrapped. I gave each child something special just from me every year. It was always a leather bound book of one of the classics. Now grown they each have a pretty nice little library of their favorite books.

When I was a child we didn't do Santa. My family were rigidly fundamental Southern Baptists and there was no having any of the "pagan and idolatrous practices" that others innocently and in fun attached to the holidays.
For my children, we only put To:.. and not From:.. except the ones they got each other.
Now for their kids, they have gifts from Santa wrapped in special Santa paper.
