Hope Grayson recovers from his nasty encounter. We don't have bears here, though when travelling through Asia did see a few. It must be terrifying to have one of these huge creatures marauding around....sad though, they are quite beautiful and it is such a shame their habitats are shrinking.

can they carry mace with them?
my friend bought a tazer gun, for when she goes on runs by herself. ( i don't think they are leagal to own..but she got one anyways..she is a marathin runner)

if i lived around bears or wild animals that could kill me, i would have something on me at all times..

so glad he is going to be ok!

Poor Greyson!! I think he needs a medal -- or at least a quilt from his human Grandma! :D

So glad all the people came out of the encounter unharmed!

That's not a bad idea...a quilt for Greyson. I'll have to start looking for a dog bone design material. Or maybe a material with duck or pheasant design.

And that dear friends is why I choose to live in town!!LOL Although one time I saw a coyote run across the front yard, last summer a dear running down the street, and many years ago, a bull that got loose at the stockyard ran right through my back yard. I'm too chicken to go camping or hiking in the wilds!

Here's a quilt block that makes a good dog bone. And it's very easy to make.
