Sounds like a ploy to get people's e-mails for spamming.

Besides, you can google if you have an address and see someones home on street view. Amazing. I once googled "Home Alone" house and it showed me the exact house used in the movie. I love that house and the inside is to die for IMHO. Gave me the address in IL.

Well, apparently my name is veeeerrrryy common at least my first and last. There isn't a state in the US that doesn't have at least 8 of me and only three states that have less than 25 (two of those are DC and Vermont). In Minnesota there are 505 of me. Some people would say "Heaven Help Us" but i kinda like that idea.

I did look up some friends and family members; addresses were accurate, spouses were accurate but they missed a couple of my nephews. I didn't put in my middle name 'cause what if they are recording your ISP address (which I know they can do)?

after having someone hack into my last sewing/quilting/fun email address, this is creepy-scarey to me and i don't like it.i haven't checked out my son, but there's way too much out there about my daughter and i know that some of it comes from facebook, an entity i always mistrusted and see no reason for.

At the bottom of the page, there's a link, Privacy. Click it to be removed. Here's the link: http://www.spokeo.com/privacy

She - or her security staff - probably had her removed from public listing.

Those who are okay with being listed but unhappy about the inaccuracies can certainly contact the company and have the information straightened out. They'll be very happy to have correct info. Remember, their primary purpose isn't to blast info to the general public, it's to sell info - and better info means more profits for them.

I tried putting my name in and it seems it cannot find Newfoundland... I think this site is for the US only.
