Riversong it is so great to hear you are okay. My Son and DIL live here and are located just 7 blocks from the start of the damage. I praise God they are okay! and that my Son was not scheduled to work at walmart 15th st. that Sunday.

they are in need of personal hygiene for all, babies items such as diapers, bottles, wipes. www.koamtv.com (cbs station) is doing very well at advising all the recent immediate needs as they occur. the other stations are kode (abc)and ksnf (nbc). Tide of Hope is to be here tomorrow to help with laundering what they found still useful.

My thoughts and prayers to all! We have been under a tornado watch most of the day in the Chicago-land area. Very stormy, thunder, lighting and lots of rain...boy what a storm, stay safe everyone!

Happy to hear you are okay Riversong, but it must have been a hair raising night. Prayers to those still waiting to hear about loved ones.

Gladd you are alright. There was so much destruction. This has been a terrible year for storms.

When I was little my grandparents lived in LaMonte Mo and we went to visit every summer. Has there been damage there? Anyone know? 50 years ago I am sure nothing like I remember.

So glad you are safe. Our weather across the nation has been a bucket of extremes this year - from extremely high snowpack to avalanches to flooding to tornadoes - I'm praying we do not have a tough fire season as well.
