Well I was going to take part in this adventure- but now I have to bow out!
I found out literally just yesterday that I'm pregnant. So no weight loss for me! I am however going to try to limit my weight gain (within a healthy range, of course).

Congratulations! New babies are the sweetest things on earth! My niece, with a 4 month old, only gained 8 lbs during her pregnancy. She was overweight so that was fine. She had pregnancy induced diabetes and was closely monitored by her doctor. She has lost 60 lbs since giving birth.

Wonderful news ! you might find that if you eat healthy and avoid the bad stuff ( which I'm sure you will be) then you might actually lose a fair bit of weight, Well more than I did last month LOL !
I love your maths joke, I will send on to my son who is doing maths at Southampton(england)

Too bad I just discovered this thread. I'm determined to lose some weight now that summers over and we hopefully have a routine again. oh well good luck to all and maybe I'll join next months.
I should add that my DH says I can buy one jelly roll for every 10 lbs I lose! Hows that for incentive?

Here is a recipe I saw on the Today Show a couple of days ago. They sound like a good snack. I imagine you could use a dehydrator if you own one.
Recipe: Zucchini chips
Annie Copps
Ingredients
1 or more large zucchini and/or yellow squash
kosher or sea salt
Preparation
Heat oven to lowest setting (150).
Slice zucchini into ¼ -inch thick rounds and lightly season with salt. In a single layer, place on a cooling rack set on a rimmed baking sheet. Depending on how moist they are they’ll take 6 to 10 hours. They should be crispy when done. Great for eating out of hand or in salads. If all the moisture is removed, they can be sealed in jars. Also good re-hydrated in soups.

gaevren, congratulations are in order. As you can tell, most of us love babies. Wishing all concerned the best.
alberta quilter, Welcome to the Quilting Board. You can still join the thread for the encouragement and comraderie. The fat quarter challenge part closed a few days ago, but the whole thread is always open. I Just start 'talking' with us.
Well, I'm two miles closer to Grand Rapids. MJ, are we going to complicate things by allowing other modalities of exercise count toward the trip? When I was on the school's welness committee, we went allowed any documentable exercise for our contests - we worked out a minute to mile conversion. No, I don't have it, but if you figure a mile as 18 - 20 minutes, then it can be done. I used to do 2 miles in 27 minutes - on hills, too, but I doubt that I'm doing that low a time now. Thank goodness, I moved to the flat side of town.
My meeting lasted almost three hours and I don't know what was accomplished, except the bazaar is coming. I am doing some candlewick embroidery. There's a blast from the past. I didn't do any when it was popular, but it doesn't look difficult.
Went to Culver's for dinner. Yummy burger with no bun. I resisted a Pumpkin Pie with Pecan concrete (like a Blizzard, but better).
