Nancia, I know what you mean about seeing yourself younger. My Grandma told me that she didn't feel any different in her mind she was in her 20's but her body was the only thing that change. I didn't understand what she was talking about, only being in my 20's at the time. Now at 55 yrs I know exactly what she meant.
Well I haven't been doing to good on my food plan or exercising. I'm up a few lbs. But today is a new day and I am going to start fresh. It's my birthday - just because I qualify for senior citizen discount doesn't mean I have to act like one. Positive and good thoughts are going out to everyone and that includes me too.

Thank you so much! I love it too!! For the cookies you add nothing but the spices and the pumpkin. The are so fluffy and light and cake-like. Now I am craving those yummy things! LOL!!

Cathie and I are in Deadwood spending the weekend casino-hopping. We are just having a ball. Our room is nice and it works very nicely for us.

Sunday we are headed to Rosebud (an indian reservation about halfway from my house to hers) to spend the night in the bridal suite! Cathie surprised me with the news of our stay in Rosebud! We will have a hot tub in the room. Wow! That really sounds like fun!

Monday morning we are going to check out of the hotel and go to Cathie's house for a few days and then we are leaving again to go to Oregon/Washington state. We are going to surprise her sisters! They have never met me and have not seen Cathie since her dad died almost 2 years ago. This is going to be the shock of the decade for her family!

This is just the most fun I have had in YEARS and getting to spend it with the love of my life is just incredible!

I have my laptop and will post here and there but know I am thinking about all of you and all the victories you are having on the scales and all of the non scale victories!

    BIG MISSY HUGS TO ALL!!!!
WOW,I wished I had nice nails like that.Mine are short, long, uneven, split, and not at all white like those.Must be in the dirt too much. So,where did you get married?Or did you?Bridal suite sounds like married to me.Hot tub?Wished I had one.You know I'm 56 yrs old and NEVER been in one in my life.I never done a lot of things you all take for granted as every day stuff.I'm a dud!Plain and simple dud.No frills,no excitement,no vacations,no nada.Boy,I am a dud,oh well.I do study a lot on how to do things and learned how to fix things with out calling a repairman. And I am good at picking good friends. And I have a lot on this board! Thanks to all of you,my oh hum drum life isn't so hum drum any more!Ya,that's right.I now can go to the computer and get on the internet highway and meet you all of you and have someone to talk to.These computers were a good idea!Ok,now my oh hum pity party is over,I can't wait to lose more weight.Anybody done smoothy's?healthy ones in a blender?Well, I'm going to town one day soon, and get my veggies for the smoothy's.I look to lose a lot of weight on them, from what I've saw on u-tube.Hope they don't taste like moldy old lawn......................YUK!
No we did not get married but it is not too far in the future that we will be getting married. My brother said that he wants to marry us. My mom wants to make my dress too. Cathie wanted us to have the honeymoon suite so that we could just focus on us and our relationship and our love. I am just so excited about that! I promise to show you lots of pictures when our wedding day has arrived!

I don't know how you feel about the subject but I thought this article was interesting. Since I started my diet I've been eating all whole wheat bread for the fiber. Last night I made me a good old fashioned sandwich on white bread and then I had another piece with 1/2 tsp butter on it. It did a real number on my tummy and I feel very congested today. I won't be eating white bread again I don't think.

Have you tried the new sandwich thins? They are whole wheat and YUMMY. Very thin so you are not getting many carbs. The regular sized thins are 100 calories and the minis have only 50 calories per bun ( I guess that is what you call it---it has a top and bottom so 50 calories for both) The bagel thins are also quite yummy. I have had to scout out alternatives because I am not allowed to have bread with the lap band. So, I toast those minis or I toast one of the regular sized sandwich thins or even the bagel thins. YUMMY!
